📖 1st & 2nd Grade
MRS. MIranda Schlecht
Welcome to 1st and 2nd Grade at St. Peter Catholic School, where young learners hit their stride, and the world of knowledge opens wide. Our classroom is a place where readers become storytellers, thinkers become problem solvers, and children grow deeper in confidence, character, and faith. We nurture the whole child — spiritually, intellectually, and socially — building on the foundation already laid and preparing them for all that lies ahead.

Mrs. Miranda Schlecht
Welcome to our 1st and 2nd Grade family! We are dedicated to nurturing each child's growing curiosity and helping them deepen their faith, sharpen their skills, and build lasting friendships through engaged learning and joyful discovery in our classroom.
"Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." - Matthew 5:16
Where Confidence Is Born

These are the years children surprise you. One day they are sounding out words, and the next they are lost in a chapter book. One day they are counting on their fingers, and the next they are explaining math to you at the dinner table. First and second grade is where confidence is born — where children begin to see themselves as capable, creative, and full of potential.
At St. Peter Catholic School, we believe that kind of growth does not happen by accident. It happens in a classroom where every child is known by name, where faith is woven into every lesson, and where the bar is set high because we believe in what these kids can do. We are honored to be part of their story.
A Prayer for Our 1st & 2nd Gaders
Loving God, we are grateful for these children who are growing so fast and learning so much. As they dive deeper into knowledge, friendship, and faith, walk with them every step of the way. When a lesson feels hard, give them perseverance. When they feel unsure of themselves, remind them of the gifts You placed within them. When they succeed, fill them with gratitude. May they grow not only in wisdom and skill, but in kindness toward others and trust in You. Lord, bless their teachers, their families, and this community that surrounds them with love. May everything they learn here point them back to You. Amen.
