🎓 5th & 6th Grade

MRS. JENNA DRIETZ

5th and 6th grade is where St. Peter students come into their own. They tackle challenging academic content, develop strong writing and critical thinking skills, and grow into the confident young men and women God made them to be.

5th and 6th grade is where students begin to come into their own. They are developing real opinions, real passions, and a real sense of who they are. Our classroom embraces that energy, channeling it into deeper thinking, stronger writing, and more meaningful conversation. Older students learn to lead, younger students learn to aspire, and everyone benefits from the dynamic that comes from growing together.

"Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity."  - 1 Timothy 4:12

Ready for What's Next

Fifth and sixth grade are where childhood and adolescence meet. Students at this age are capable of remarkable things. They can wrestle with complex ideas, take on real responsibility, and begin to glimpse the kind of person they want to become. They are ready to be challenged, and we do not shy away from that.
At St. Peter Catholic School, we take these years seriously. This is the age where faith stops being something handed to them and starts becoming something they own. Leadership is not just a word but a practice. Where the choices and habits forged begin to shape a future that is closer than it looks. We strive to push them further, believing in them deeply, and always pointing them toward God, who made them for greatness.

A Prayer for Our 5th and 6th Graders

Loving God, we pray for these young people who are standing at the edge of so much. They are old enough to feel the weight of the world and young enough to still need Your hand to guide them through it. Give them the courage to lead when leadership is hard and the humility to follow when it is not their turn. As the voices around them grow louder, help them hear Yours above the noise. When the pressure to fit in pulls against the call to do what is right, steady them. May the faith they are discovering here become a fire that never goes out, one that lights their way through every season of life, and supports them in the years to come. Amen.
